If you want to delete your Instagram account permanently, Here are the steps to delete your Instagram account permanently.
You can disable your Instagram account in 2 ways, One is Deactivation and 2nd is permanent delete. We will discuss both ways to delete an Instagram account. Good thing is that, both options are at one place. Here is the new method after the Instagram update to delete your account.
Steps To Delete Instagram Account
- Open your Instagram account and go to your profile.
- Click on 3 lines or dots at above corner.
- Now click on the account center, scroll and go to Personal Details.
- Click on account ownership and control.
- Choose Deactivation And Deletion.
- Choose your account.
- If you want to temporarily deactivate your account, then click on deactivate account, or of you want to permanently delete your account, then click on Delete Account and tap on continue.
- Now choose the reason for the account deletion and tap on continue.
- Now click on Continue again to confirm.
- Now enter your Instagram account password and tap on continue.
- Now click on the Delete Account button on the confirmation page.
- Account Deleted.
Note – According to Instagram account deletion conditions, you have 1 month time to cancel this delete request by logging in again or cancel your delete request in the account center. Otherwise, after one month, Instagram will delete your account permanently with all the data.
Deactivate Instagram Account
You can choose the Deactivate Account option from the account deactivation or deletion option, If you want to temporarily disable your account for some time. You can log in again anytime to enable your Instagram account with the Deactivate feature. But if you choose Delete Account, your account will be permanently deleted in one month.
You can also search ‘Delete’ in Instagram settings to get the Account Deactivation and Deletion option.
