Jio And Airtel launched new plans, after TRAI order to bring Calls and SMS only plans. Jio Phone special plans and ₹20 recharge for 90 Days report is also in the market. Jio And Airtel fooled TRAI and robbed customers by this loophole of TRAI rule.
What Was TRAI Order?
TRAI, which regulates Telecom companies in India, said the Telecom companies to bring Calls & SMS only plans to give affordable and cheap recharges to customers, But Jio and Airtel removed the data from their existing plans, without lowering the prices.
After some time, Airtel again revised the plans, Jio also revised the plans, including Jio Phone Plans. Jio removed the most affordable ₹189 plan for 28 days, from their website, but Airtel reinstated the ₹199 plan.
Here are the Jio and Airtel New Revised value plans.
Jio New Plans
- ₹458 – 84 Days, Unlimited Calls, 1000 SMS, No Data.
- ₹1958 – 365 Days, Unlimited Calls, 3600 SMS, No Data.
New ₹458 plan is good, ₹489 plan reduced to ₹458, but without data, and it’s now affordable.
New ₹1998 plan is also giving validity of 365 days, instead of 336 days.
Airtel New Plans
- ₹489 – 77 Days, Unlimited Calls, 600 SMS, 6GB.
- ₹499 – 84 Days, Unlimited Calls, 1000 SMS, No Data.
- ₹548 – 84 Days, Unlimited Calls, 900 SMS, 7GB.
- ₹1959 – 365 Days, Unlimited Calls, 3600 SMS, No Data.
- ₹2249 – 365 Days, Unlimited Calls, 3600 SMS, 30GB.
Jio New Plans For Jio Phone:
- ₹75 – 23 Days, 0.1GB/Day
- ₹91 – 28 Days, 0.1GB/Day
- ₹125 – 23 Days, 0.5GB/Day
- ₹152 – 28 Days, 0.5GB/Day
- ₹186 – 28 Days, 1GB/Day
- ₹223 – 28 Days, 2GB/Day
- ₹895 -336 Days, 2GB/28Day

Rs 20 Recharge For 90 Days?
There are some reports in the market, your SIM can work without recharge for 90 days, and you get a 15 days extra period for recharge, otherwise Telecom companies can close your SIM, the validity is 180 days in BSNL, so if you have 20 in your sim, the validity can extend to another 30 days, so your SIM can work for 4 months without recharge.
So that does not mean, that you can receive Calls, sms, OTP in 20 recharge, but this not not confirmed by TRAI.
TRAI is also checking the new revised plans of Jio and Airtel, Peoples are speaking against these plans and reporting to TRAI. So these revised value plans may also change soon.
